Hello there
I feel a bit sad that my first blog post has to be in the time we are a bit stressed and worried about COVID-19! At this time it is all new for us and every day we are learning more and probably getting better at understanding what we can do as individuals to keep ourselves and others safe. Most of us won’t have experienced anything like this before ( my mother, who is 90 and still living independently on 3.5 acres with her chooks and a big vegetable garden and orchard tells me she has experienced times like this though!) so it is hard to know what to think and how to ‘be’. My advice has always been – be you! That is all you can do right now. Listen to all the advice and information that is being sent out and make wise decisions. Anxiety will be high and those of you/us who are more sensitive to that will be more impacted but maybe try to work on the problem solving model. What is the actual problem and not ‘how am I feeling about this’? What can I do that will be helpful – rather than ‘what is right or wrong?’ Try not to judge others or yourself too harshly – we are all new to this and so we won’t be always feeling ok and that’s ok!
